BOOSIER CITY, LA—MARCH 21, 2018—Harrah’s Louisiana Downs wrapped up its 2018 Quarter Horse meet this afternoon with a standout performance by Going Noble in the $238,090 Harrah's Entertainment Futurity (G3).

With leading rider Everardo Rodriguez aboard, the homebred for owner-breeder Mercy Hinklin Horse Farm LLC showed that his trial win on March 3 was no fluke! Despite breaking outwardly from post position ten, Going Noble powered to an impressive 1-¼ length win while completing the 300-yard final in :15.258, earning a 102 speed index.

"Whew, that break was something, but Everardo did a great job correcting him," said trainer Lanny Keith. "He’s one fast colt!

Going Noble ($3.80), bred in Texas is a son of second-crop sire FDD Going Grand out of the Jess Elie mare A Noble Jess Elie. He earned $107,141 today, which was his second win in two starts.

Keith reported that he will be pointed to the Grade 2 Firecracker Futurity at Delta Downs laster this summer.

Ramiro Flores, Sr.’s Patriotic Games, the second-fastest qualifier in trials run on February 9, closed well for the runner-up spot. Texas breeders Bob and Jerry Gaston foaled the colt by First Down Dash out of their mare, Miss Game Tee.

Trained by Eduardo Morales, Patriotic Games was ridden by Rodrigo Vallejo. The $38,000 Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate earned $40,476 today.

Capitan de la Playa, with Jose Martinez aboard, ran fourth for owners Roberto and Agustin Hernandez. Saul Ramirez, Jr. conditions the $20,000 TQHA Yearling Sale graduate.

Bred in Texas by Bobby D. Cox, the brown gelding earned $23,810. A son of multiple stakes sire Captain Courage, Capitan de la Playa is out of the Invisible Injun mare Babe On The Beach.

Fivebarlove finished fourth, followed by Waving Cartel, Rock Winners Jese, Jrc First Prize Elva, Empyro and Kr Mr Winter.
