Femme Fatalia Dominates Beehive Futurity Trials

SOUTH JORDAN, UT —JUNE 2, 2018—In her first career start Femme Fatalia flew from the gate, under jockey Cordarelton Benn, to break her maiden by two-lengths while posting the top qualifying mark from eight Beehive Futurity trials contested Saturday afternoon at Laurel Brown Racetrack.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will return Saturday, June 16th to vie for the winner's share of a record $92,233 going 350 yards.

A $13,000 Los Alamitos Equine Mixed Sale graduate, Femme Fatalia completed the 350 yard task in :17.722 seconds, a 93 speed index. Trainer Glade Van Tassell saddled the daughter of leading sire Favorite Cartel for owner Melody Olsen.

Bred in California by Steve D. Burns, DVM, Femme Fatalia is a half-sister to stakes winners Kool Cade, Hawks Kue Pie and Kool Odds. Her dam is the Chicks Beduino mare Kool Kue Chick, a half-sister to three-time AQHA Racing Champion Kool Kue Baby.

Jr Dynasty Czech, a son of Jr Dynasty Mountain, a leading first crop-sire in 2017, picked up his second win three starts after a three-quarter length winning effort in the second trial garnered the second fastest time of :17.962 seconds.

Jesus Valenzuela had the riding call aboard the Hadley/Giles Memorial Futurity finalist for trainer Riley Moosman. Jr Dynasty Czech is a Utah homebred for owner/breeder JR Stables. His dam is the Swingin Jess mare Jr Czech.

Moosman, Valenzuela and JR Stables also teamed to get the six fastest qualifier, Jr Tinkup into the June 16th final.

Jazzing Moves, a Makin Moves filly who finished second to Jr Dynasty Czech, held for the third fastest time of :18.057. Owned-and-trained by Raul Moreno, Jazzing Moves is out of the Jazzing Hi mare Jazzing Jenna. Ross Herrick is the breeder.
