Thebunnygoeson Best in G.C.F.A July Maiden Classic

FREDERICKSBURG, TX—JULY 22, 2018—Coming off her first win in the July 7 trials, Thebunnygoeson raced to a nose win over Tinys Desi in the $48,300 G.C.F.A July Maiden Classic (not black type) at the Gillespie County Fair Ground Sunday afternoon. Di Southeen James finished half-a-length behind to get third.

Thebunnygoeson broke out under jockey Noe Villatoro, then dueled to the win while completing the 350 yards in :17.698 seconds, a 97 speed index into a 5 mph headwind.

Trainer Jose Lopez saddled the daughter of Jess Louisiana Blue for owner Sergio Garza, Jr. Bred in Texas by Fitterman Ranch LLC, the brown filly has compiled a (9) 2-3-0 record and picked up $16,905 today to boost her earnings to $32,428.

Out of the Leaving Memories mare Andthebeatgoeson, Thebunnygoeson was a finalist in the Grade 2 TQHA Sale Futurity and Grade 3 Sam Houston Juvenile Challenge at 2.

Still at maiden from four starts, the lightly raced Tinys Desi picked up $7,245 for her second-place effort. Alonso Neri conditions the daughter of Desirio for owner Antonio Lerma.

Dan and Jolene Urschel bred Tinys Desi in Texas from the Shazoom mare Tiny Shazoom. Fourth in Sam Houston Maiden Classic in April, she has earned $15,589.

Di Southeen James, a son of Jesse James Jr, earned $4,830 for his third-place effort. Jose Martinez rode the sorrel gelding for owner Jesse Arreola and trainer Elpidio Luna, Jr. Isbell Charolais bred Di Southeen James in Texas from the Southern Cartel mare Kix N Giggles.

Geh Ottyes Lil Tini, Kalis Fast Man, Alinas War Princess, Ms Famous Dash Back, Kuhl Cash, Timarred Special and Ad Tres Coronas completed the field.
