GRAND PRAIRIE, TX—SEPTEMBER 22, 2018—Bumped and forced out at the break, Mpshinning powered his way to the top qualifying time for the Grade 2 Dash For Cash Futurity on Saturday night at Lone Star Park.
The 10 fastest qualifiers, from 12 trial races contested, will return to Lone Star Park on Saturday, October 6th to vie for the winner's share of a $405,585 purse going 400 yards.
Coming off a win in the $153,300 Gillespie County Fair Futurity in is last start in August, regular rider Luis Vivanco piloted Mpshinning to a two-length win in the second trial to capture the top qualifying mark of :19.545 seconds, a 102 speed index over a muddy (sealed) racetrack with an 8 mph tailwind.

The bay colt has not lost a race since an off-the-board performance in his first career start and has banked more than $73,500.
Grade 2 Sam Houston Futurity winner Fm Im A Zatanaz Too got back in the win column, after a seventh-place effort in the Retama Juvenile Challenge in his last start, to post the second fastest time.
Fm Im A Zatanaz Too races for owner J. Fabian Hernandez and was bred in Utah by McColee Land & Livestock LLC. Out of the Mr Jess Perry mare Dashingfordestiny, Fm Im A Zatanaz Too has won five of seven starts. Also second in the Firecracker Futurity he has earned $251,076 this season.
Meche also trains 9th and 10th qualifiers Im Sporting Rock and One Famous Stone.

Paint Me A Sinner sped clear under jockey Ricardo Garza-Cruz in the 10th trial to get the third fastest time of :19.674 seconds, also a 98 speed index.
Rolando Almanza trains the lightly raced daughter of Pyc Paint Your Wagon for owner Claudi Avila. This was the second consecutive win in four starts the Texas-bred filly out of Shades Of Sin Tacha by First Down Dash. Bob and Jerry Gaston is the breeder.

Trainer Robert Meche and jockey Manuel Gutierrez each qualified three to the final and trainer Rolando Almanza qualified two.
Tempting Dash and Pyc Paint Your Wagon were the only sires with multiples qualifiers with each siring two.
