Rock A Billy Goes Four Straight With King Rick Rack Victory

HOBBS, NM—DECEMBER 2, 2018—Rockin J Running Horses Rock A Billy rolled over a strong field on Sunday to win the $50,000 King Rick Rack Stakes at Zia Park,

Under jockey Paul Nieto Rock A Billy edged clear four wide off the turn before putting away defending champion Executive Trust by two-lengths. He completed the 870 yards in :45.596 seconds, a 96 speed index, to score his fourth-consecutive win and pick up the winners' purse worth $30,000.

A Texas homebred racing for owner/breeder Rockin J Running Horses, is a son of multiple stakes sire Rock Solid Jess conditioned by trainer Tammy Kay Johnson.

The multiple stakes winner, out of the Game Patriot mare Imaginiff, has compiled a (36) 10-4-4 record and banked nearly $170,000 in four seasons of racing.

Making just his second start of the year, Executive Trust picked up $11,000 to boost his career earnings total to $294,335. Trainer Guadalupe Munoz, Jr. saddled the graded stakes winning son of Executive Menace for owner Sherree Meridyth. Scarlett Hill Farm, Inc. bred the gray gelding in Texas from the Relagate mare Entrust.

Funny Munny, a Kentucky-bred son of Munnings(TB), from the First Down Dash mare Fodice, finished a head back in third for owner Leann Archuleta. Jockey Francisco Amparan had the riding call for trainer Adam Archuleta. Robert A. Gentry bred the chestnut earner of $156,7630.

Stolis Pro, Jack Ketel, Zoomin Racer, Regards Miracle and Fire Thorn completed the field.
