PHOENIX, AZ—DECEMBER 16, 2018—Lett Her Bea, under jockey Mark Jasso, scored her second straight win on Sunday when she defeated One Spicy Eagle by a neck in the $7,500 Dashing All The Way Stakes (not black type) at Turf Paradise.
One Spicy Eagle was disqualified for interference and placed fourth, moving Senorita Corona Chic to second and Askin For Trouble to third.
Saddled by trainer Matthew Fales, Lett Her Bea raced over the 100 yard course in :06.464 seconds into a 9 mph cross wind to earn a 96 speed index. Last month the Ivory James filly won the Wayne Brasher Memorial (also not black type) at the Phoenix racetrack.
Kay Hause owns the Oklahoma-bred filly out of champion Lett Her Zoom by Shazoom. She has compiled a (25) 8-4-5 record and today's winners' purse valued at $4,418 brought the 5-year-olds earnings total to $74,290. Bobby D. Cox is the breeder.
Askin For Trouble, a 5-year-old Louisiana-bred son of Onethewingsofglory, picked up $713 for third. Jockey Davie Reyes-Frisby had the riding assignment for trainer Pedro Soto. Armando Hernandez Muniz owns the sorrel gelding out of A Bardo Special by Look Forward. Dina Duplantis, DVM is the breeder of the earner of nearly $20,000.
Completing the official order of finish were One Spicy Eagle, Golden Chema, Pcr Mad Version, Splash Of Fortuna, Ima Special Reb, Rock On Dynasty and The Wasabi Kid.
