Fastest Qualifier Sweet Wild Time Returns To Win NDQHRA Futurity

FARGO, ND—JULY 28, 2019—Fastest qualifier Sweet Wild Time returned to North Dakota Horse Park on Sunday to defeat stablemate Divas First Moon by half-a-length in the $16,610 NDQHRA Futurity. Gabriel Way finished 1-˝ lengths back to take third.

Coming off a win in the NDQHRA Derby earlier on Sunday's card, jockey Jake Olesiak rode Sweet Wild Time over the 350 yards in :18.277 seconds to get her third win in five career starts, and his second stakes win on Sunday's card.

Trainer Robert Don Johnson conditions the daughter of multiple stakes sire One Sweet Jess, from the Royal Shake Em mare Royal Wild Time, for owner-breeder David L. Wisdom. The $8,305 winner's purse booster her earning to nearly $21,500.

Also trained by Johnson and owned by Wisdom, runner-up Divas First Moon picked up $3,820 for her second-place effort. Scott Bethke had the riding call aboard the daughter of champion sire First Moonflash from the multiple stakes producing Royal Shake Em mare Shake Em Diva.

Gabriels Way, a son of first-crop sire Jesscuzican, earned $2,159 for third. Jockey Zachary Bacon had the riding call for owner-trainer Doug Delorme. Leon Glasser bred the sorrel gelding from the Rare News mare Comes Naturally.

Perry Easy Victory, Shesa Dashin Jet Eye, Windy Hills Moon and Sucha Dash Of Corona completed the field. Canadian Corona was scratched
