All American Runner-Up Instygator Top Qualifier In Texas Classic Futurity Trials
Instygator, under jockey champion jockey Jose Flores, defeats fellow qualifier Sirprince Knockout while setting the fastest time for the $1,031,211 Texas Classic Futurity (G1) Sunday night at Lone Star Park.

All American Runner-Up Instygator Top Qualifier In Texas Classic Futurity Trials

GRAND PRAIRIE, TX—NOVEMBER 08, 2020—Instygator, runner-up to Whistle Stop Cafe in the All American Futurity(G1) on Labor Day, returned to the track to post the fastest qualifying time from 15 trial races contested on Sunday evening at Lone Star Park for the $1,031,211 Texas Classic Futurity(G1).

The 10 fastest qualifiers will return to Lone Star Park on Saturday, November 28th to vie for the winner's share of the purse valued at $458,889 going 400 yards.

Under champion jockey James Flores, Instygator covered the 400 yards course in :19.759 seconds, equaling a 95 speed index into a 5 mph headwind, to establish the top mark.

Trainer Santos Carrizales, Jr. saddled the son of multiple stakes sire Ivory James to his fourth career win in six starts this season for owner Jose Guzman who paid $25,000 for the colt in the Heritage Place Fall Mixed Sale last year.

Bred by Bobby D. Cox, from the Mr Eye Opener mare Eye Popping, Instygator was also third in the Grade 1 Heritage Place Futurity and has banked $579,041 this season. An AQHA Leading breeder, Cox also bred the top three qualifiers for the Texas Classic Juvenile.

Sirprince Knockout, a colt by multiple stakes sire Dominyun, finished a half-length off Instygator to get the third fastest time of :19.833 seconds. Trainer Martin Trejo saddled the $25,000 Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate for owner Javier Ramirez.

Five Puig Racing LLC bred the bay colt in Texas from the Tres Seis mare Adolph Tres Knockout. In just three starts this season Sirprince Knockout has earned $11,610. Manuel Gutierrez was riding. Trainer Jose Sanchez III saddled the son of leading sire One Fabulous Eagle for owner Rachuan Suarez. Belinda Shaw bred the $34,000 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale graduate in Arkansas from the Stoli mare And Poof Shes Gone. He picked up the winner's share of the $15,000 trial purse to earn $9,000.

Jess Arrogant got the fourth fastest time of :19.904 seconds, a 91 speed index into a 13 mph headwind in the second trial when he defeated fellow qualifier Dash N Leader by neck. Trainer Adrian Huitron saddled the son of multiple stakes sire One Sweet Jess to his first career win four starts for owner Ruse Ranch LLC.

Dean Frey bred the $30,000 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale graduate in California from the Checks Beduino mare Oh So Arrogant. Jess Arrogant was making his first start outside of Ruidoso Downs where he races in all three triple-crown trials with his best finish a second in the Rainbow trial son July 4th.

Dash N Leader, a $26,000 repurchase at the TQHA Yearling Sale was the first of two qualifiers on the night for owner-breeder Pete Scarmardo. Francisco Calderon had the riding call for trainer Leon Bard aboard the multiple stakes qualifying son of Down N Dash from the Corona Cartel mare Cartel Leader. The Texas-bred gelding has won three of six starts and banked $37,619 this season.

Jez Flying got his second career win under jockey Francisco Calderon in the 14th trial to post the fifth fastest time of :19.925 seconds for owner Garlyn O. Shelton. Sold for $32,000 under the name Jess A Good Ride in the 2019 Heritage Place Yearling Sale, Jez Flying broke his maiden at Ruidoso Downs on August 1st.

Trainer John Stinebaugh saddled the son of champion and first-crop sire Jess Good Candy from the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Ride My Wagon. Michael Pohl bred Jez Flying Colorado. He has earned $13,675 this season.

Bob and Jerry Gaston's homebred Dulce Sin Tacha returned to win column in the 11th trial after suffering his only loss on Labor Day when he was second in the $200,000 All American Juvenile at Ruidoso Downs. Under jockey Rodrigo Vallejo the sorrel colt posted the sixth fastest time of :19948 seconds, a 90 speed index into a 5 mph headwind.

M. Heath Taylor conditions the son of first-crop sire Jess Good Candy from the Tempting Dash mare Prissy Sin Tacha. The Texas-bred has won four of five starts and banked nearly $60,000 this season.

Steal The Candy became Jess Good Candy's third qualifier of the night after posting a three-quarter length win over Favorite Agree in the 12th trial. A finalist in the Ruidoso Juvenile early this year the bay gelding completed the 400 yards in :19.985 seconds to get the eighth fastest time.

MRB Racing paid $130,000 for Steal The Candy at the 2019 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale. Trainer Tony Sedillo named jockey Juan Rivas to ride the Oklahoma-bred out of She Travels by Fishers Dash. Bred by Stone Chase Stables, Steal The Candy has earned nearly $20,000 in eight starts.

Trainer Rolando Almanza saddled Jess On The Run to his second consecutive win in the 14th trial to get the ninth fastest time of :20.003 seconds into a 5 mph headwind. Jockey Ricardo Garza-Cruz rode the son of former leading sire Mr Jess Perry to a 1- ¼ length win for owners Julian Gamez.

Sam W. Green bred the $30,000 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale graduate in Oklahoma from the FDD Dynasty mare Miss Southern DD. Jess On The Run has earned $22,000 in six starts.

Watch Him B Famous held on to the bubble time of :20.008 seconds, into a 5 mph headwind, after winning the sixth trial by three-quarters over All American Futurity(G1) finalist Caliente Caramelo.

Leon Bard conditions the homebred son of leading sire One Famous Eagle for owner-breeder Pete Scarmardo. The Texas-bred gelding is out of the multiple stakes producing First Down Dash mare Lady Lilia, a half-sister to champion sire Desirio. A finalist in the Ruidoso Juvenile in June, Watch Him B Famous has earned $20,910.
