Getit Foose Posts Dominating Win In G.P. Distance Stakes

GRANDE PRAIRIE, ALB—JULY 17, 2021—Bouncing off a third-place effort in the Old Timer's Classic at Century Mile June 4th, Getit Foose rolled to a seven-length win over Asses Loki in the $7,451(US) G.P. Distance Stakes (not black type) Saturday afternoon at Evergreen Park.

Under jockey Ricardo Moreno, Getit Foose drew away from the field in the stretch to complete the 770 yards in :40.770 seconds, a 90 speed index on a "sloppy" surface under rainy conditions and into 15 mph crosswind. It was the fourth career win for the son of Foose.

Racing for owner Charles G. Stojan and trainer William Leech, Getit Foose is a California-bred 4-year-old out of Getit Together by Separatist. Bred by Martha Wells, the brown gelding has earned $27,043.

Runner-up Sasses Loki picked up $1,937(US) for owner-trainer Curtis Ermineskin. Wesley Oulton bred the 4-year-old First Timber gelding in Alberta from the El Rey Burner mare Sass N Dass. Laurina Bugeaud was aboard the $16,539 earner.

Ss Frosty finished 1-˝ lengths back to earn $894(US). Trainer Nellie O. Pigeau named jockey Blandford Steward to ride the 4-yaer-old son of Cuivre River for owner Bruce Feton. Bred by Sazwan Speed Horses, from the Birdzilla (TB) mare Zillas Amour, Ss Frost has earned $10,708.

Rj Fly Bye, Big Handsome and Glittering Blue completed the field. Jess The Joker was scratched.
