LOS ALAMITOS, CA—OCTOBER 2, 2009—Undefeated sprinters Effectiveimmediately and Princelike will put their perfect records on the line when the face a great field of 2-year-old sprinters in Saturday's $426,000 PCQHRA Breeders' Futurity at Los Alamitos.

Trainer Jaime Gomez will send out the talented Effectiveimmediately, who posted the top qualifying time to this race a couple of weeks ago.

It was the second time this year that the Double Bar S Ranch-owned daughter of Corona Cartel had delivered the fastest time to a major race. Earlier this year, she was the top qualifier to the Kindergarten Futurity but a superficial laceration on her leg kept Effectiveimmediately from racing in the finale.

With Gomez in charge, Effectiveimmediately will look to become the trainer's next stakes winning 2-year-old. In recent years, Gomez has dominated the futurity scene at Los Alamitos with the likes of stakes winners Make It Anywhere, Sassy Smith, Secret Card, Gold Nugget Rd, Higher Fire, Twin Spires, Tac It Like A Man, Carters Cartel, Sixish, Checknbac, Jess You And I, Chicks Like Us, and Vachetta just to mention a few.

Tac It Like A Man and Sixish are past PCQHRA Breeders' Futurity winners so Gomez is going for his third win since 2006 and his sixth win in this race since 2000.

Ed Allred's Princelike has been a standout in his three victories this season, especially when edging Ed Burke Million Futurity dead-heat winner Streakin Laquinta in their Breeders' Futurity trial.

Jose Flores will saddle the son of TR Dasher, who will be ridden by Dennis Means. Princelike will be looking to give the sport's all-time leading owner and breeder his first win in this race since Twelvie won the 1997 running. A victory by Princelike in this race would actually Allred's second win ever in the Breeders' Futurity.

Flores will also send out Headturner, a Check Him Out gelding owned Jose Ramon Sandoval, who after racing seventh in his career debut has won impressively three races in a row.

One of the big story lines in the Breeders' Futurity is the presence of four Los Alamitos Equine Sale graduates in the field. The four grads are Cash For Cottontail, Jumpn Beduino, Hawk Mas Dinero and Its All About FDD.

Cash For Cottontail, a Hawkinson daughter has a good story behind her, as she's the first Quarter Horse ever campaigned by Dolantori Racing. Dolantori Racing - is the nom de course for David and Paula Mueller of Visalia, California.

The Muellers have been very involved in Thoroughbred racing, in fact during the recent Del Mar meeting their Irish-bred runner Starlarks rallied from last place with a powerful finish from jockey Alex Solis to get a nose win in the featured $150,000 San Clemente Handicap for three-year-old fillies over Jimmy Durante Turf Course. Dolantori has also been heavily involved in the show world of Quarter Horses, winning many titles, ribbons, and accolades.

The Muellers also run Valley Staffing Services, a company they founded in 1991, which supplies temporary employees in the areas of clerical, light industry, accounting, bookkeeping and other fields. They have offices in Visalia, Bakersfield, Fresno, Modesto, Bakersfield and Las Vegas. David serves as the company's President, while Paula is the Vice President of the Corporation. She implements and oversees all marketing strategies for the Company including, but not limited to advertising, community involvement, business affiliations, new market analysis, and quality employee retention and incentive programs.

Trainer Donna McArthur has two top contenders in the futurity final in Brazilian Dasher and Cloned With Class. Three H Racing's Brazilian Dasher, a filly by Fishers Dash, ran fourth in the Governor's Cup Futurity earlier this season, while Double Bar S Ranch's Cloned With Class by Streakin La Jolla has won three of five outings in her career.

Micah Leslie and Link Newcomb's Mr Eye Opener filly, Miss Eye Stocks, should not be counted out as this busy filly has hit the board in all seven career starts.
