FREDRICKSBURG, TX—AUGUST 28, 2010—In all out effort, Jorge Luis Garza's Chase Me Chaselyn defeated a field of 10 in Saturday's $49,600 G.C.F.A. 79 & Under Allowance at Gillespie County Fairground.
Saddled by Ramiro J. Flores, Jr., the gray filly completed the 330 yards in :16.609 seconds to earn a 110 speed index.
Chase Me Chaselyn picked up her second consecutive win in three starts this season and the winner's purse of $17,360 pushed her over the $18,000 mark. Juan Vazquez was riding the Ocean Runaway filly for the first time.
Lyle Guillory bred Chase Me Chaselyn in Texas from the Reckless Dash mare Exonerated.
In a hard fought duel, Otto Goebel's Oakville Cartel finished a ½ length off the winner to pick-up $7,440 for second. The Corona for Me colt trained by Jimmy W. Guerra, Jr., is still winless in after three starts this season. Jorge Roman was in the irons to push the sorrel's record to 0-2-1. He earned $7,440 for the effort.
A neck back third was Espinosa Stone, Inc.'s Separate Blast, by Separatist. Saddled by Daniel Luna and ridden by Luis Vivanco, the brown colt picked-up $4,960. Separate Blast is 1-0-1 in two starts this season.
Completing the field were Kin Con Cs, Victory Patch, Rc Dee Money, Tequilla Silver, Shannons Tres Seis, Covergirl Cutout and Lil Lady Warrior.
Surviving Success Name Winner of Simulcast Services Stakes
Jose Alfredo Rodriguez' Surviving Success was named the winner of the $17,400 Simulcast Services Stakes at the Gillespie County Fairground on Saturday afternoon after Executive Looks was DQ'd and placed four for drifting out.
Saddled by Juan Saucedo, the Panther Mountain filly covered the 330 yards in $16.543 seconds to earn a 112 speed index finishing just a neck of the Executive Looks. The winner's purse was $10,440. Eleazar Hernandez was aboard the gray bred in Texas by Melissa Ann Miller from the Royal Shake Em are Make Me Shake.
Moving up the place position a neck back was Naruto owned by and grained by Gregory Gonzalez. The Jess Rock On gelding was ridden by Jose Alvarez and picked up $3,480 for the effort.
Takin On Request was placed third and earned $12,740 for owner Luis Lozano. Jose Espinosa saddled the Takin On The Cash gelding with Rodrigo Vallejo up.
Completing the field were Executive Looks, St Pats First, Intergalactica, Titos, Del Shake, Sixes On Time and Off Key Harmony.
