BOOSIER CITY, LA—JANUARY 8, 2011—Racing for Ana Alvidrez, Salty King Corona roared to a one-length win in Saturday's $20,000 Harrah's Dash Stakes at Louisiana Downs.

Saddle by Miguel Rodriguez the 3-year-old gelding covered the 250 yards in swift :13.141 seconds to earn a 104 speed index. He broke on top and cleared the field at the wire. J.R. Ramirez was aboard to earn the winner's purse $12,000.

Donald Aymond and David Bates, Jr. bred the sorrel son of King Corona from the Salt Lake-TB mare Salt Crystal. King Corona, who stands in Brazil, is the only full brother to leading sire Corona Cartel.

Oscar Montemayor's Without Prejudice dueled My Best Of Six late to hold on for second. The Corona For Me 4-year-old is trained by Erika Huitron and was ridden by Martin Rubalcava. He picked up $4,000 for the effort.

Settling for third, My Best Six earned $2,200 for owner Racehorse, Inc. The 7-year-old Sixavike gelding is trained by Arthur Gordon and was ridden by Orlando Baldillez.

Completing the Harrah's Dash field were Worlds On High, Firstchickinlights, Midnight Swingin, Okasetti, A Fast Fortune, Vals Warrior and Featuring Magic Man.
