The All American Triple Crown is comprised of the Grade 1 All American Futurity, the Grade 1 Rainbow Futurity and the Grade 1 Ruidoso Futurity. If a two-year-old wins all three of the futurities, it would earn the $4-million All American Triple Crown bonus. The purse and bonus money would easily make the winning horse the all-time leading money-earning Quarter Horse.

The current all-time leading money earning Quarter Horse is 2008 All American Futurity winner and world champion Stolis Winner at $2,235,161. The Stoli gelding used victories in the Rainbow Futurity and All American Futurity as stepping-stones to the title. Nine of the top-10 all-time leading money-earning Quarter Horses are All American Futurity winners. “Ruidoso Downs always attracts the premier Quarter Horses, and these purse increases reflect our dedication even in these difficult economic times,” said Hubbard. “We are able to increase these purses because of the continuing support that horsemen show in Ruidoso Downs and our futurity and derby program. We are very thankful for their support.” The Grade 1, $2,400,000 All American Futurity heads a stunning stakes lineup this summer at Ruidoso Downs for 2-Year-Old American Quarter Horses. The 440-yard race contested on Labor Day, is the world’s richest quarter horse race and has the largest purse for any breed of two-year-old racehorses in North America. The All American Futurity trials are set for Thursday, August 16 .

The parade of grade 1 races starts on June 9 with the finals of the $600,000 Ruidoso Futurity. That will be a purse record. The Ruidoso Futurity has had a $500,000 purse since 2003. Trials for the Ruidoso Futurity comprise the opening day program on Friday, May 27.

The Grade 1, $700,000 Rainbow Futurity will be held on July 21 with the trials at 400 yards set on Tuesday, July 3.

Keeping up with its tradition of hosting the richest stakes schedule in Quarter Horse racing, Los Alamitos, in partnership with the Pacific Coast Quarter Horse Racing Association, is once again offering three futurities worth at least one million dollars in 2012. The three rich futurities are the $1,000,000 Ed Burke Million Futurity, the $1,200,000 Golden State Million Futurity, and the $2,000,000 Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity. These three races make up the Los Alamitos Bonanza, which serves as the track's version of the Triple Crown. Los Alamitos the only Quarter Horse track in the nation to offer three $1,000,0000 futurities during a single meet.

"Los Alamitos is committed to having the best Quarter Horse stakes program in the world," said Ed Allred, the owner and president of Los Alamitos Race Course.

The Ed Burke will be held Sunday, June 10, 2012 and will feature $250,000 in added money. The Golden State will be contested on Sunday, October 21. The Los Alamitos Two Million will be held on Sunday December 16, 2012 and will feature $500,000 in added money.

As it has been the case since its inauguration in 1995, the Los Alamitos Bonanza will offer a $1,000,000 cash bonus to the connections of any horse capable of sweeping the Ed Burke, Golden State and Los Alamitos Two Million. If anyone claims the Bonanza - like champions Hawkish and Higher Fire have come close to doing it in recent years - the connections of that horse will receive the seven-figure cash bonus virtually on the spot.
