OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—APRIL 30, 2016—Stakes winner and All American Futurity(G1) finalist Exquisite Stride posted the top qualifying time for the $100,000-added Bank of America Challenge Championship(G2) during a night of Challenge trials at Remington Park Saturday.
Finals for the $100,000 Bank of America Oklahoma Challenge Championship(G2), the $40,000-added Merial Oklahoma Distaff Challenge(G3) and the $50,000-added Zoetis Oklahoma Distance Challenge(G3) will be held on Sunday, May 22nd at Remington Park.
Also a stake is an automatic starting spot for each winner in their respective divisions on October 29th when Los Alamitos Race Course hosts the Bank of America Challenge Championship Night in Cypress, California.
Bank of America Oklahoma Challenge
Ridden by jockey Jimmy D. Brooks, Exquisite Stride rolled a three-quarter length win in the first of two trials Saturday night to get the top qualifying time of :21.368 seconds, a 97 speed index with a 10 mph tailwind.

J. Santos Espinoza's A Royal Country Man was a slight surprise in the second trial to get the second fastest time of :21.427 seconds. Trainer Jose Espinoza saddled he Country Chicks Man gelding to his fourth career win in 20 starts. Agustin Silva was aboard the Abigail Kawananakoa California-bred out of A Royal Goddess, by Strawfly Special.

Merial Oklahoma Distaff Challenge
A pair of Pyc Paint Your Wagon full sisters, owned-and-bred by Michael Pohl, won their respective trials for the $40,000 Merial Oklahoma Distaff Challenge while posting the top two qualifying spots.

Send Me This Candy prevailed in trial 1 to get the fastest time of :19.648 seconds for the 400 yards, with a 12 mph tailwind. Already a multiple stakes winner, the 5-year-old mare got her eighth career win from 15 starts. Out of the Mr Jess Perry mare Jess Send Candy, the bay has earned nearly $140,000.
Younger sister Honeymoon Candy picked up her fourth career win in the second trial while getting the second fastest time of :19.680 seconds with a 14 mph tailwind. The stakes-placed 4-year-old has earned $61,715.
Pohl bred both Pyc Paint Your Wagon mares in Oklahoma.

Zoetis Oklahoma Distance Challenge
Making his first career start at 870 yards Daring And Dashing rolled to 4¼ length win over reigning Grade 1 Zoetis Distance Challenge Championship winner Cr Tuckernuck in the first trial to get the fastest qualifying time in the Zoetis Oklahoma Distance Challenge.
Coming off a win in the Zoetis Texas Distance Challenge earlier this month, Fire On The Fly won the second trial for owner/breeder Bullard Farms. Tommy Bullard trains the Jet Cartel gelding out of Shades Of Pink (TB), by Fight Over (TB). The 6-year-old has one 12 races and earned $177,406.
