POCATELLO, ID—SEPTEMBER 22, 2019— Shidacious dueled Dashn Courage to a neck win in the $3,000 Pocatello Downs Futurity (not black type) on Sunday at Pocatello Downs.

Trainer Fredy Olmos saddled the sorrel gelding for owner Kade Kendall Keller. Bred by Allred Horse Haven, from the Proudest Effort mare Shi D Anna, Shidacious has compiled a (8) 3-1-0 record and earned $11,360 this season. He was also a finalist in the Rupert Downs Overnight Futurity and the Elko Intermountain Futurity.
Dashn Courage, racing for owner/breeder Larry Chapple and trainer Paul Greene earned $750 for second. Jesus Valenzuela was aboard the Idaho-bred Captain Courage filly out of Special Truth by Special Leader.
Cesar Luna owned-and-trained Heza County Secret finished three/quarters back in third. Jesus Flores rode the Heza Price Secret gelding. Adan Marin bred the chestnut in Nevada from the Teller County mare Miss Hayward County. He earned $450 for the effort.
