Fastest qualifier One Flying Dynasty returned to win the $245,946 La Fiesta Futurity on Sunday at The Downs at Albuquerque.

Lightly Raced One Flying Dynasty Wins La Fiesta Futurity

ALBUQUERQUE, NM—SEPTEMBER 22, 2019—Fastest qualifier One Flying Dynasty dueled Mister Mucho Gusto to a neck win in the $245,946 La Fiesta Futurity on Sunday at The Downs at Albuquerque.

Ridden by jockey Raul Ramirez, Jr., One Flying Dynasty completed the 400 yards in :19,639 seconds, equaling a 91 speed index, to pick up the $122,973 winner's purse in just his fourth career start.

Veteran trainer Michael Joiner saddled the son of world champion sire FDD Dynasty to his second career win for owners Joe David Yates, Richard Young and Michael Bennett.

Allred Brothers Ranch LLC bred the sorrel gelding Arizona from the Strawfly Special mare One Flying Cookie. He broke his maiden in the La Fiesta trials on September 5th following a third-place finish in an All American Futurity trial on August 16.

Mister Mucho Gusto settled for second to earn $49,189 for owners' Diamond Racing Stables and U S Alliance Logistic. Jose Luis Muela trains the son of Freighttrain B out of the Azoom mare Zumbaya. Bred in Oklahoma by Bobby D. Cox, Mister Much Gusto, also third in the Four Corners Futurity and the West Texas Futurity(G2), has earned $77,298 from a (6) 2-2-1 record.

Luis H. Gonzalez' Dr Tool finished three-quarters back to pick up $29,514 for third. Sergio Becerra, Jr. had the riding call aboard the son of first-crop sire Kiss My Hocks for trainer Jose Luis Muela. Andy Caulo bred the bay gelding from the One Famous Eagle mare Where Eagles Soar.

Jimador, Favoriteuntoldstory, Valliant Astica, Kj Kiss This, Movin Dirt and Book That Mount completed the field.
