AJAX, ONT—AUGUST 5, 2020—Twixt A Fate, under jockey Ed Walton, held off Countryfried Chicken in the second of two trials Wednesday to post the top qualifying time for the Ontario Bred Futurity at Ajax Downs.
The 10 fastest qualifiers will return to Ajax Downs on Wednesday, August 26th to vie for the winner's share of a $60,000-added purse going 300 yards.
Saddled by trainer Michelle Woodley, Twixt Of Fate broke his maiden in his career debut to set the top mark of :15.806 seconds into a 3 mph headwind.
Richard Wincikaby owns the gelded son of Streakin Six Cartel from the Eyesa Special mare Eyesa Quick. Bred by Gary McNichol, Twixt Of Fate earned $3,799 for his trial win.

The Ontario homebred out of La Wanda, by FDD Dynasty, races for owner-breeder Milena Kwiecien. Still a maiden, the bay gelding has placed in all three of his previous starts.
Memory Of Griffin, a gelding by leading first-crop sire One Fabulous Eagle, got a nose win in the opening trial to record the fifth fastest time of :15.976 for owner-breeders Joyce and Erik Lehtinen.
Erik also trains the sorrel gelding out of stakes producer Is It Memorex by Leaving Memories. It was the first win in four starts for Memory Of Griffin. He has earned $5,648 this season.
