ALTOONA, IA–OCTOBER 1, 2022–This year's $50,000 Future Of Iowa Stakes at Prairie Meadows is a replay of the last two years for top two finishers Streakin Jesszee and Kays Dynasty. The pair have finished in the 1-2 spot of the 350-yard stakes for 3-year-old and up Iowa-bred fillies and mares for three consecutive years running.

Trainer Alex Wessell tapped the limit for number of horses entered in the Future Of Iowa Stakes Saturday afternoon with five, including the top three finishers Streakin Jesszee, Kays Dynasty and Louisiana Wagon, respectively.

Streakin Jesszee, with Stormy Smith in the irons, broke fourth from the gates and gamely made her way to the wire for a half-length victory over of the familiar Kays Dynasty. With a 5 mph head wind, the daughter of Mr Jess Perry clocked an 87 speed index for the winning time of :17.890 seconds.

Guided by Jonathan Dominguez, Kays Dynasty flew from the gates in first and kept the lead nearly to the end but was edged out late by her rival Streakin Jesszee. The duo finished second by a nose over Louisiana Wagon with Cristian Esqueda aboard.

Runner up Kays Dynasty has never graced the winner’s circle in stakes competition and has placed second to Streakin Jesszee in the Future of Iowa Stakes for three years in a row.

The daughter of FDD Dynasty has three career wins, earning $85,911 for owner/breeder Kay Sage. The seven-year-old mare is out of Real Royal Down by Mr Jess Perry.

Third place finisher Louisiana Wagon has won her last two outs at prairie meadows but has yet to win a stakes race. The four-year-old daughter of Jess Louisiana Blue has 3 career wins and $44,095 in the bank for owner B/B Wessels LLC.

Bred by Michael Tell, Louisiana Wagon is out of the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Tygers Painted Girl, who is also the dam of stakes winner Painted Dynasty.
