NORMAN, OK—SEPTEMBER 12, 2019—Bob Moore Farms announced today that the stallion fee for 2019's Leading First-Crop Sire Hes Relentless has been set at $7,000 for 2020. Only 80 contracts are available next year and there will be very limited shipped semen.
The 8-year-old son of One Famous Eagle—This Dreams Flying, by Strawfly Special, has sired 29 winners, 10 stakes winners (14%), 6 stakes-placed (8%), earners in excess of $1.7 million with average earnings per starter of more than $23,800, in his first crop to race thru September 10th.
"The first time I was close to 'Relentless' was in the barn of Jason Olmstead at Remington Park. Jason’s son Ryder, who was 4 or 5 at the time, was riding Relentless in the shed row and it was obvious that this was a special horse. He is a grand looking individual and with his pedigree he had all the potential to be a sire, but I think he has exceeded expectations," Bob Moore Farms General Manager Phillip Stewart said.
Named the AQHA Racing Champion 3-Year-Old Colt of 2014, the bay stallion won or placed in 13 of 15 career starts and earned $616,380. He won the Hobbs America Derby(G3) and was second in the Heritage Place Futurity(G1), Championship at Sunland Park (G1) and third in the Rainbow Derby(G1) and Zia Park QH Championship(G1). Hes Relentless was also a finalist in the All American Futurity(G1) and Texas Classic Futurity(G1).
"Thanks, and congratulations to owners Tom and Bill Maher, R.D. Hubbard, and Johnnie Cope for allowing Bob Moore Farms to share in the ownership and success of this great horse," Stewart said.
