All American Futurity Winner A Classic Dash Dies at 29

NUEVO, CA—OCTOBER 6, 2020—A Classic Dash, winner of the 1993 All American Futurity(G1) and Dash For Cash Futurity(G1), died peacefully of natural causes at his owner Princess Abigail Kawananakoa's Lakeview Quarter Horse Farm on Monday (Oct. 5).

“A Classic Dash was a wonderful horse and there wasn’t anything left for him to do as a runner” said Princess Kawananakoa. “We made sure he had a wonderful life after racing, and that is exactly the life he deserved.”

Conditioned by trainer Connie Hall, the son of First Down Dash won seven of eight career starts at 2 and earned $1,078,617. In his only loss he was second to Jumping Tac Flash in the California Sires' Cup Futurity(G3).

A Classic Dash was bred in California by H.G. Stevenson from the Dusty Canyon (TB) mare Classic Canyon.

In the breeding barn A Classic Dash with a successful sire from limited starters with 289 winners, 35 stakes winners, 30 stakes-placed, 1 champion, earnings in excess of $6.7 million and average earnings of over $13,500 from 23 crops of racing age.
