MAGNOLIA, TX—OCTOBER 7, 2020—Bolt Of Fire, an undefeated half-brother to two-time champion and All American Futurity winner Imperial Eagle, will stand his first season in 2021 at Rigby Equine Medicine and Reproduction in Magnolia, Texas. A $120,000 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale graduate, Bolt Of Fire was a promising 2-year-old in the barn of leading trainer Michael Joiner in the summer of 2017.
He broke his maiden in first start in July then returned to win his All American Futurity trial on August 18th defeating Robert Adair Kindergarten Futurity(G3) winner and Grade 1 finalist Fire And Sass.
Bolt Of Fire posted the 14th fastest time form 128 2-year-olds who started on day 1 of the 2017 All American trials, however it was his final start.
“After battling a severe quarter crack sustained while winning his All-American trial, he was forced to retire from racing," Dr. Mark Rigby of Rigby Equine Medicine and Reproduction said. "We are pleased for the opportunity to stand this outstanding individual that did not get a chance prove himself on the racetrack."
