2025 Texas Classic Futurity, Derby, and the 2025 Purina Feeds Texas Classic Oaks must be postmarked by January 15, 2025.

ELGIN, TX–JANUARY 7, 2025–The Texas Quarter Horse Association has announced that the first payments for the 2025 Texas Classic Futurity, Derby, and the 2025 Purina Feeds Texas Classic Oaks nominations are due by January 15, 2025.

You can find the nomination forms on the TQHA website under the Racing tab, specifically in the Texas Classic Races section. Alternatively, you can click the links below to download the forms directly to your computer..

All nomination forms for the three races must be postmarked and mailed by January 15, 2025. Please ensure you use separate checks for each race. The first payment due is $200 for each horse nominated. For detailed payment schedules, please refer to the nomination forms below.

2025 Texas Classic Futurity G1
Texas Classic Derby G1
Purina Feeds Texas Classic Oaks  

The $1,000,000-estimated Texas Classic Futurity-G1 is a 400-yard raced open to all AQHA foals born in 2023. The trials will be held on October 23-24, 2025. There will also be a $50,000-estimated Texas Classic Juvenile.

The $350,000-estimated Texas Classic Derby-G1 is a 440-yard raced open to all AQHA foals born in 2022. The trials will be held on October 25, 2025.

The $200,000-estimated 2025 Purina Feeds Texas Classic Oaks is a 4o0-yard raced open to all all AQHA fillies born in 2022. The trials will be held on October 25, 2025.
