H. David Smith, Chief Executive Officer

H. David Smith is the owner and publisher of StallioneSearch.com, the leading digital media platform dedicated to American Quarter Horse racing and breeding. Combining decades of experience in business, technology, and racing journalism, Smith helped pioneer the online presence of the Quarter Horse industry through innovative digital coverage and breeder-focused information services.

Before founding StallioneSearch.com, Smith built a successful corporate career with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), where he gained extensive experience in technology systems, business operations, and digital communications. His professional background in the corporate technology sector provided the vision and expertise necessary to develop StallioneSearch.com into a modern, industry-leading online platform.

Prior to his career with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), Smith built an extensive background in the Quarter Horse industry while working as a bloodstock associate with noted Quarter Horse agent Don Tyner.

Working alongside Tyner, Smith gained valuable experience in horse selection and in evaluating racing and breeding prospects. During that time, he was involved in the syndication efforts surrounding Special Effort, the only Quarter Horse to ever capture the coveted Quarter Horse Triple Crown.

The experience of working with one of the sport’s most historic champions gave Smith unique insight into the business, marketing, and breeding aspects of elite racehorses and helped establish relationships throughout the industry that would span decades.

His early work in bloodstock and stallion promotion provided Smith with a deep understanding of bloodlines, female family influences, and breeding strategies that later became a cornerstone of StallioneSearch.com.

Founded as the first digital platform dedicated to race-bred Quarter Horse stallions, StallioneSearch.com became an invaluable resource for breeders, owners, and racing enthusiasts. The platform provides breeders with comprehensive weekly updates on member stallions, including detailed statistics on top performers, sire summaries, 5-cross pedigree analysis, and information on female family lines. By combining advanced pedigree research with timely racing data, Smith helped bring a new level of accessibility and sophistication to online Quarter Horse breeding information.

Smith was also instrumental in the creation of the industry's most comprehensive Quarter Horse "Sales Database", featuring results from more than 12 years of public racing Quarter Horse sales across the United States. This one-of-a-kind research platform recognizes the industry's need for a centralized source of historical sales information.

Working closely with software developers and industry stakeholders, he designed a database that would provide breeders, owners, agents, and bloodstock professionals with unprecedented access to valuable marketplace data.

The database allows users to search by individual horses sold, sires, dams, consignors, and buyers, and provides detailed analysis of sale averages, sire averages, consignor statistics, and long-term market trends.

By making extensive historical sales data readily accessible, Smith helped create an essential industry resource that supports informed breeding, marketing, and purchasing decisions throughout the Quarter Horse racing and breeding community.

Under Smith’s leadership, StallioneSearch.com expanded beyond breeding analytics to become a trusted source for Quarter Horse racing news, stakes race previews, feature stories, race recaps, qualifiers, interviews, and live event coverage from major racing venues throughout the United States. His dedication to accurate reporting and preserving the history of the sport has earned StallioneSearch.com widespread respect throughout the Quarter Horse industry.

Today, Smith continues to promote and document the sport through comprehensive multimedia coverage while remaining committed to advancing Quarter Horse racing and breeding through innovation, journalism, and digital storytelling.
