AJAX, ON–MAY 6, 2026– ALEXANDRIA, LA–MAY 19, 2026—The Louisiana Quarter Horse Breeders Association (LQHBA) is reminding breeders and horsemen that the deadline to submit 2026 Out-of-State Mare (OSM) Forms is June 1, 2026.

The annual, non-refundable Out-of-State Mare registration fee is $200 per mare if submitted on or before June 1. Forms received between June 2 and July 1 will require a total payment of $400, which includes the annual fee and a $200 late penalty. Applications submitted after July 1 will require approval from the LQHBA Board of Directors and carry a minimum fee of $1,200.

Horsemen submitting mares for accreditation must provide the completed Out-of-State Mare Registration Form, the required fee, and copies of the front and back of the mare’s AQHA or Jockey Club registration papers. The association noted that the program applies to both Quarter Horses and Thoroughbreds.
