Twenty-Nine 2-Year-Olds Entered in Monday's John Deere Prairie Meadows Juvenile Challenge Trials

ALTOONA, IA–JULY 24, 2024–Anna Belle, a graded stakes winning daughter of champion Uncle D, is one of 29 2-year-olds entered in Monday's 350-yard John Deere Prairie Meadows Juvenile Challenge trials at Prairie Meadows Racetrack.

A $22,000 purchase at last year's Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale, Anna Belle is trained by Jason Olmstead for owners Tom Smith and Lou Ann Smith.

The fllly has earned $78,871 from five races, and her two wins include a head victory in the May 25, 350-yard FL Lady Bug Stakes (RG3) for Oklahoma-breds at Remington Park.

Anna Belle is coming off of a third-place finish, a neck behind winner CT Walking Thru, in the 350-yard, $213,000 Prairie Meadows Gold Futurity on July 6. The filly drew post 4 and will be ridden by Ramiro Garcia in the second of three trials.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the August 17, $30,000-added final.
