Team Rip 109 Draws Post 5 for John Deere Century Mile Juvenile Challenge

EDMONTON, ALBERTA, CANADA–JULY 25, 2024–
Team Rip 109, a chestnut son of Pyc Fun N Fancy owned by Commotion Creek Contracting Ltd. and WT Ranches Ltd., drew post 5 for Saturday's 350-yard, $49,368(Can) John Deere Century Mile Juvenile Challenge.

The fastest qualifier, Team Rip 109 made his official debut with a dominating 5 1/2-length victory in the first of three trials on July 5. Buckey Stockwell trains the gelding.

Team Rip 109 will be ridden by O.Amador Hernandez.

Stockwell will also send out Sizzles Boss, a stakes-winning son of JD Wagon Boss racing for Cinch Up Syndicate. Sizzles Boss has won his last two outs, including the 300-yard, $49,000 Alberta Sales Futurity (R) on June 22.

Sizzles Boss drew post 9 and will be ridden by D.I. Benitez.

The winner of this race will earn a berth in the October 26 John Deere Juvenile Challenge Championship (G2) at Albuquerque Downs.
