One Fabulous Dynasty Makes It Five-for-Five In 2024 With Adequan Prairie Meadows Derby Challenge

ALTOONA, IA—AUGUST 16, 2024—One Fabulous Dynasty raced to his fifth consecutive win in as many starts this season in the $42,262 Prairie Meadows Derby Challenge on Friday at Prairie Meadows.

The Robert Don Johnson trainee also picked up his third derby victory. Jockey Luis Maldonado rode One Fabulous Dynasty to a 19.843 clocking, equaling a 93-speed index with a 5 mph crosswind.

Along with the $19,863 winner's purse, the One Fabulous Eagle 3-year-old also captured a starting spot in the $165,000-est. Adequan Derby Challenge Championship (G3) to be contested at The Downs at Albuquerque during the Bank of American Challenge Championship Night on October 26.

Deanna Anderson and Casey Foster own the South Dakota-bred colt from the Diva Dynasty by the FDD Dynasty. The winner of the BHS Futurity and second in the Valley Junction Juvenile last season was bred by Bob or Gary Johnson. He has banked $124,773 in 11 career starts.

Runner All The Signs was a neck back in the blanket finish to earn $8,452 for owner Thomas D. Lepic. Jim Maupin conditions the Oklahoma-bred son of Tres Seis from the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Signs Of Pyc.  Christian Esqueda rode the $45,912 earner. Alexia Wright is the breeder.

Runnin Mann, a stablemate of the winner from the Johnson barn, was another neck back to pick up $4,226 for third. Johnson named jockey Jose Beltran to ride the gelded son of The Marfa Lights for owner Spencer Cordes. Marty and Shalia Powers bred Runnin Mann from the Ivory James mare Kelli Kae in Oklahoma. He has earned $26,445.

Sheza Famous Candy, Slippery Ann, Kynetic, Windsome, I Know The Cowboy, and Jess Folzookieing completed the field.
