Kiss My Hocks Foal In Utero Tops Heritage 2024 Champions of the Future Foal in Utero Online Sale

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–DECEMBER 13, 2024Dunn Ranch paid $57,100 for a Kiss My Hocks foal-in-utero in the just completed third-annual Heritage Place Champions of the Future  Foal in Utero Online Sale.

"The Champions of The Future Foal in Utero Online Sale concluded last night at 7:30 pm with a lively audience online," Heritage Place's General Manager said. "There were 2870 bids placed on horses over the course of the 3-day online event."

Heritage Place Sale Company reported that 22 of the 38 horses sold for gross receipts of $496,300. The average was $22,559, and the median was $17,000.

"Heritage Place wishes everyone success with their purchases and looks forward to seeing everyone at the Winter Mixed Sale on January 16-18, 2025," Kidney concluded.

Turner Farms consigned the high-seller Hip 35 Foal in Utero by Kiss My Hocks from the Grade 1 producing Mr Jess Perry mare Higher Fling. Dunn Ranch purchased the full sibling to Rainbow Futurity's third-place finisher, Seven ($143,706 at 2) for $57,100.   The second dam is the champion mare Higher Fire, the dam of All American Futurity(G1) winner Fly Baby Fly.

Leading buyer La Feliz Montana Ranch, LLC paid $55,000 to the second high-seller, Hip #12, a foal in utero by leading second-crop sire Flying Cowboy 123 from the Take Off Jess mare Jess Charlena. Tom and Kathleen McNally consigned the half-sibling to Grade 1 winner Jess My Hocks ($450,497) and Grade 2 winner Charlies Fury ($463,278).

The New Mexico-based ranch also purchased the third high-seller Hip #16, a foal in utero by Hes Relentless from the Grade 3-placed Apollitical Jess mare Jess A Sweetie.  Jeff Adams consigned the half-sibling to Wild West Futurity(RG3) winner Heartlande ($49,925) and stakes-placed Innocenti ($90,430). This is the family of world champion One Dashing Eagle.

La Feliz Montana Ranch, LLC was the sale's leading buyer, with six purchases totaling $194,900. Joshua Owns paid $79,000 for two foals in utero, and Dunn Ranch purchased two for $66,200.

Jeff Adams was the leading consignor and/or agent, with two bringing gross receipts of $66,700. Dunn Ranch had four foals in utero, bringing $64,500, and Turner Farms sold the one for $57,100.
