Visa, under jockey Bryan Candanosa, won the 2023 $200,000 All American Juvenile by 1-3/4 lengths at Ruidoso Downs.

BREAUX BRIDGE, LA–OCTOBER 30, 2024–Robicheaux Ranch announced today that stakes winner and multiple Grade 1 placed Visa SI 103 will return home to stand at their ranch for the 2025 breeding season. His fee is set at $4,000.

Owned by Terry Wootan, John Simmons, and Roger Beasley, the son of leading sire Corona Cartel, lit the board 10 of 11 career starts while earning $450,054. He won the All American Juvenile and was second in the All American Derby(G1) and Rainbow Derby(G1).

The ranch's farm manager Ryan Robicheaux said, "My wife comes from a race horse background but she is not an everyday horse lady. She saw Visa for the first time in the paddock at the All American Derby. Her exact words were 'that's the finest horse I have ever seen and you need to get him no matter what!'"

Visa was a $97,000 repurchase from the Robicheaux Ranch, Inc., Agent for Simmons Racing consignment at the 2022 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale.

"We loved him when he was here as a yearling and are so proud of his accomplishments on the track," Robicheaux said. "We are so excited to welcome Visa back to start his stallion career with us here at the ranch. He is the first sales graduate for us to stand. We would like to thank the owners, Terry Wootan, John Simmons, and Roger Beasley, for choosing Robicheaux Ranch."

His sire Corona Cartel SI 97 ($557,142, Los Alamitos Million Futurity-G1, etc.) has sired 24 crops of racing age, 200 stakes winners, 10 champions, 1236 winners, and earnings of over $71.3 million.

Corona Cartel's top performers include Blues Girl Too SI 105 (World Champion Racing American QH, $2,032,328, Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity-G1, etc.), Teller Cartel SI 108 (champion, $1,212,471, All American Quarter Horse Futurity-G1, etc.), Five Bar Cartel SI 91 (champion, $1,068,825, Ed Burke Million Futurity-G1, etc.),  Kvn Corona SI 95 (champion twice, $868,077, Ed Burke Million Futurity-G1, etc.), etc.

Visa's dam is the stakes-winning Will Take Charge thoroughbred mare Cashcheckorcharge ($117,833). She is the dam of two Quarter Horse foals of racing age, including stakes winner Visa SI 103 (see above).

His second dam is the Grade 3 winner Final Mesa ($211,602), by Sky Mesa. She is the dam of four winners from four foals to race, including stakes winner Cashcheckorcharge (see above), Fashion Rage ($200,824 to 6, 2024), etc.

His third dam is the unraced Final Style by Smart Style. She is the dam of 8 winners and two black type, including Bold Ruler Handicap(G3) winner Uncle Camie ($321,442), Final Mess (stakes winner above), etc.  Final Style is the grand-dam of stakes-placed Macedonio ($54,457), etc.

"As many might know, my goal is to find that outcross. I have even tried straight thoroughbred stallions, but it's the next generation of the thoroughbred lineage that's the producer," Robicheaux says.

"I love the Corona Cartel cross on the thoroughbred line. Visa is somewhat bred like Favorite Cartel just flipped. I know I'm reaching by comparing to one of the greatest stallions standing right now. However, Favorite Cartel is bred by a thoroughbred sire from a daughter of Corona Cartel," Robicheaux continued.

"With Visa, we get closer to the Corona Cartel line, being he is a direct son of the great stallion and out of a thoroughbred mare. It makes him a great outcross for every mare by First Down Dash and his sons like Tempting Dash and FDD Dynasty. He also crosses well on daughters of Mr Jess Perry and his sons like Apollitical Jess, One Famous Eagle," he said.

"Really, Visa is the cross for everyone, everywhere!" Robicheaux added. "If his outcross breeding doesn't interest you, then his confirmation will sell him to you."
