Grade 1 Texas Classic Derby Runner Up Jaegar To Stand First Year At Tate Farms

VILLE PLATTE, LA–NOVEMBER 27, 2024–Stephen Tate of Tate Farms, announced today that multiple graded stakes-placed Jaegar will begin his stallion career at the Louisiana facility for the 2025 breeding season.

Jaegar's introductory fee is $2,250, but the farm is offering a discount of $1,500 to the first 50 mares paid in full. The son of world champion sire Apollitical Jess is an accredited Louisiana-bred stallion.

Bred in Oklahoma by Five Puig Racing, LLC, Jaeger was born in 2021 out of the Tres Seis stakes-winning mare Adolph Tres Knockout. She won the Oklahoma Futurity-G3, earning $136,184 on the track and is a multiple stakes winning and champion producing mare. He was a $63,000 Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate in 2022.

Owned by Guerra's Racing Stables, Jaegar started his racing career in 2023 with a limited number of starts at Lone Star Park and Retama Park. It wasn’t until his three-year-old year that he started earning his black-type status. In March 2024, he placed second at his first stakes appearance in the Louisiana Downs Maiden Classic.

In May, he traveled to Texas, breaking his maiden in his trial heat to the Sam Houston Derby-G3 and returning as runner-up in the finals. Then, in July, he won his trial heat to the Retama Park Derby, returning to the finals for a fourth-place finish.

In October, the three-year-old colt again won his trial heat to the Dash For Cash Derby-G2 but returned to the finals for a troubled fifth. Jaegar ended his racing career with a second-place finish in the Grade 1 Texas Classic Derby on November 16th to retire to the breeding shed.

Jaegar is a full brother to AQHA Champion and four-time stakes winner As And Js SI 105 ($531,134), who is the dam of Grade 3 placed Coronita Ko SI 90 ($73,637). He is also a full brother to stakes-placed winner The Only Knockout SI 87 ($104,473), dam of stakes winner Miracle B Knockout SI 96 ($116,346) and to Grade 1 finalist Ms Jess Knockout SI 111 ($131,266).

Jaegar is a half-brother stakes winner Shezasercretknockout SI 102 ($53,003) and to stakes-placed No Secret Knockout SI 96 ($56,475).

His dam, Adolph Tres Knockout, is a half-sister to the dams of stakes winners Despain GL SI 92 ($161,206), Movin The Doe SI 108 ($110,710, NTR), Big Moon Dawg SI 97 (2024, $95,382) and Gunnin For Doe SI 1056 ($33,529).

His 2nd dam is a stakes winner producing daughter of Holland Ease, Oh Whatta Knockout. She is a half-sister to All American Futurity-G1 winner Falling In Loveagain SI 108 ($1,210,375) and many other stakes winners.

Jaegar’s sire, world champion Apollitical Jess SI 107 ($1,399,831, NTR), is the nation’s #1 leading living sire of money earners with 145 stakes winners, 13 champions, 764 winners and earners of over $73.5 million from 11 crops to race.
