Stakes Winner Hes Bulletproof Tops Cricket Bar Futurity Qualifiers at Will Rogers Downs Monday

CLAREMORE, OK–SEPTEMBER 19, 2022–Hes Bulletproof, an Appaloosa son of All American Futurity(G1) sire Hes Relentless races to the top qualifying mark on Monday in the Cricket Bars Futurity(G1) trials at Will Rogers Downs.

The 10 fastest qualifiers, from two trial races contested, will return Monday October 3rd to vie for the winner's share of a $45,620 purse going 400 yards.

In an all-out-drive under jockey Jesus Salazar, Hes Bulletproof raced to a neck win over Ivory Lil while completing the 400 yard coursed in :20.234 seconds, into an 8mph crosswind, to establish the top qualifying mark of the day.

 Winner of the $20,000 Speedhorse Paint and Appaloosa Juvenile Stakes at Fair Meadows in his last start, Hes Bulletproof races  for owner-breeder Jeff Adams. Leading trainer Dee Keener saddled the Oklahoma-bred out of R Sassy Corona by Pyc Paint Your Wagon.

Hes Bulletproof has won three of six starts and banked $17,692 this season.

Game Winner broke his maiden with a half-length win in the opening trial to record the fifth clocking of :20.426 seconds, into a 15 mph headwind.

Also trained by Keener and owned-and-bred by Adams, the son of Hes Relentess is out of the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Paint This Kitty. Gonzalo Gutierrez had the riding call on the Oklahoma-bred gelding who has earned $3,980 in three starts.  He was a finalist in the Tulsa State Fair Stakes in July.
