LOS ALAMITOS, CA–SEPTEMBER 16, 2023–David Hinkins' Budder Off Friends broke sharply from post number four, was close to the leading Relentless Pressure as they approached the finish line and eventually pulled away to win the $25,000 Go Josie Go Handicap on Saturday at Los Alamitos.
Ridden by Jesus Rios Ayala for trainer Adan Farias, Budder Off Friends won the Go Josie Go by a neck ahead of Relentless Pressure to score her fourth win in 20 career starts.

Earning $13,750 for the win, Budder Off Friends raised her career earnings $84,168. Bred by Double Bar S Ranch, the 3-year-old filly by FDD Dynasty covered the distance in :17.764.
Runner- up Relentless Pressure earned $5,625 for finishing second. M. Heath Taylor trains the daughter of leading sire Hes Relentless for owner-breeder Ted G. Abrams, Sr. Bred in Texas, from the Mr Jess Perry mare Jess A Classy Lassy, Relentless Pressure is a half-sister to two-time world champion Jessies First Down. Ridden by jockey Armando Viramontes, she has earned $51,618 in 12 starts.
Third-place finisher Phoebes Baby Girl earned $3,125 for owner-breeder Parsons Ranch. Trainer Paul Jones named jockey Henry Lopez to ride the Favorite Cartel filly out of grade 3 winner A Political Lady by Apollitical Jess. Phoebes Baby Girl has earned $40,212 in 11 starts.
Koalition, All Prettied Up, and La Beverly Hills completed the field.
