SUNLAND PARK, NM—FEBRUARY 2, 2025—Robert Driggers, Del Rae Driggers, and Ben Ivey's Boot Scootin Mama raced to a half-length win in the $182,755 restricted Grade 2 Shue Fly Stakes at Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino on Sunday.
Under jockey Christian Ramos, Boot Scootin Mama completed the 400-yard course in 19.558 seconds, equaling an 89-speed index with a 5 mph tailwind. It was the second win in eight career starts for the daughter of multiple stakes sire Prime Talent.
Trainer Simon Buechler saddled the 3-year-old bred in New Mexico by Ivey Cattle Co. from the First Moonflash mare Riverside Flash. The $109,653 winner's purse today increases Boot Scootin Mama's earnings total to $129,308.

Runner-up One Oh Too earned $36,551 for finishing second. Trainer Wesley Giles tapped jockey Noe Garcia, Jr. to ride the daughter of a leading sire, Eye Am King, for owners Jay Glover, Gary Stallings, and Dwain Grissom. Jill Giles bred the $50,291 earner from the Gone To The Mountain mare Penny Snatchin.
Track Starr led early but was caught to finish third by a neck for owner Backdoor Thoroughbreds LLC. James J. Gonzales, II trains the Big Daddy Cartel filly from the Tres Sies mare Starsmith. Track Start earned $18,275 to double her earnings mark to $36,047. MJ Farms is the breeder.
Sent off at odds of 4.80-to-1, Boot Scootin Mama paid $11.60 to win.
Beyond Rime, Cc Candy Man and Myy Flashn Denaili completed the field.
