FARMINGTON, NM–APRIL 25, 2025–Mexican-bred Easy Perry Cartel won his first career stakes on Sunday in the $75,000 La Plata Stakes at SunRay Park.

Jockey Luis Flores-Gracia guided the 7-year-old son of multiple stakes sire Jesstified to a victory over Uncle Bubb.  His 19.77 clocking equaled an 88 speed index for the 400 yards into a 14 mph headwind.

Ramon Mendoza conditions the bay horse for owner Cream Of The Crop, Inc. Two races back, he was third in the Grade 1 Zia Park Invitational Championship.

Bred in Mexico by Everardo Muzquiz Elguezabal from the Corona Cartel mare Tessas Decked Out. Easy Perry Cartel exclusively in Mexico until his 4-year-old year. For his first US win, he won an allowance race at Albuquerque on October 6, 2023.

The 10-time winner earned $45,000 for the La Plata victory today, pushing his career mark to $304.368.

Graded stakes winner and post-time favorite Kj Wildthang finished second to earn $15,000. Wesley Giles conditions the Apollitical Jess gelding for owner-breeders Joh, Kathy Lee, and Reuben Mares. Third in the West Texas Maturity(G3) in his last start, Kj Wildthang has earned $259,435.

Uncle Bubb snapped a three-race win streak to finish third and earn $7,500. Trainer Angel Hernandez Dominguez named jockey Adrian Ramos to ride the son of multiple stakes sire Kvn Corona for owner Jesus Gacia Solis. Jeff Jones and Steve Holt bred the gray gelding in Oklahoma from the Good Reason SA mare Shanondoah. He has banked $59,886.

Zooming Dynasty, Vegas trick, Mitey Relentless, Prizefighter V, WIldroses 101 and Karmalites completed the field.
