PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ–JULY 12, 2022–
Runaway Witch, a sorrel daughter of the First Down Dash stallion Sir Runaway Dash and the fastest qualifier, heads a field of 10 3-year-olds entered back in Saturday's 400-yard, $60,000-added Adequan Arizona Derby Challenge Stakes at Arizona Downs.

Trained by Armando Alamos for owner LG Racing LLC, Runaway Witch made her local debut with a head victory in the second of two trials on June 25. The filly was a $16,000 purchase at the 2020 Heritage Place Yearling Sale in Oklahoma City, and she has earned $135,647 from 13 races. Her season record includes a second-place finish, a half of a length behind winner Pattys Saint, in the 400-yard, $75,000 Animas Stakes at SunRay Park on May 28.

Runaway Witch drew post 4 and will be ridden by Jacob Enriquez.

The winner of this race will earn a berth in the Grade 3 Adequan Derby Challenge Championship at Horseshoe Indianapolis on October 22. The complete lineup, in post position order including jockey assignments:
