Frankie Jr is on of 26 sophomores enters in the TQHA Sires' Cup Derby on Saturday at Retama Park.

SELMA, TX–JULY 30, 2024–Frankie Jr, a multiple stakes winning son of Kas Tempting owned by Jimme Rodriguez, is one of 26 3-year-olds entered in Saturday's 400-yard TQHA Sires' Cup Derby (R) trials at Retama Park.

Frankie Jr has earned $73,571 from four races this season, and he's won his last three starts, including the 400-yard, $70,000 Adequan Sam Houston Derby Challenge Stakes on May 10, and the 330-yard, $45,000 Silver Bullet Stakes (R) at Retama Park on June 27. Juan Diaz Jr. trains the gelding.

Frankie Jr drew post 2 and will be ridden by Victor Urieta Jr. in the third of three trials.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the $50,000-added TQHA Sires' Cup Derby final on August 17.
