BOSSIER CITY, LA–MARCH 10, 2025–GBH Fiscal Toni, a graded stakes winning 4-year-old son of The Fiscal Cliff, is one of nine state-bred aged sprinters entered in Saturday's 350-yard, $30,000 Mr Jess Perry Stakes (R) at Louisiana Downs.
GBH Fiscal Toni is trained by Jose Sanchez for owners Marco X. Ramirez, Gary Hartstack and John Bond. The sorrel gelding will be making his first start since December 21, when he scored a wire-to-wire, 1 3/4-length victory in the 400-yard, $100,000 Louisiana Champions Day Derby (RG2) at Evangeline Downs.
GBH Fiscal Toni drew the rail post and will be ridden by Cesar Segura.
Other contenders include Fausto G. Mendoza's Five Bar Jess Cartel, a 5-year-old Five Bar Cartel gelding who has won three of his four starts at Louisiana Downs, including a 350-yard, $14,000 open-condition allowance dash on February 7. John Norwood Jr. trains Five Bar Jess Cartel.
Five Bar Jess Cartel drew post 9 and will be ridden by Victor Urieta Jr.
