TULSA, OK–JUNE 30, 2026–The Speedhorse Trials take center stage this weekend at Fair Meadows, as Thursday evening's nine-race card kicks off an exciting program. First post is set for 6:00 p.m., with six trial heats scheduled, including two divisions of the Speedhorse Quarter Horse Derby Trials and four trial heats for the Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Futurity Trials.

Early in the evening, the spotlight belongs to the Paint & Appaloosa juveniles, who will compete in races two through five. Thirty-two 2-year-olds will sprint 350 yards in pursuit of one of the ten fastest qualifying times for the estimated Grade 1 $100,000 Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Futurity Finals on July 18.

Chilinator headlines the fourth and final trial in race five as the 5-2 morning-line favorite. Although still seeking her first career victory after four starts, the filly has proven she belongs among the division's best. She most recently finished second in the Grade 1 $231,400 Speedhorse Graham Paint & Appaloosa Futurity, following a fourth-place finish in the Grade 1 $200,000 Oklahoma Paint & Appaloosa Futurity. Those efforts have produced career earnings of $56,601 for owners Amy and Brent Page.

Chilinator, the daughter of Chilitos, is out of the Sixes Royal mare Sparklin Royal and was bred in Wyoming by Ron Lyles. Trained by Matt Whitekiller, Chilinator will break from post eight with Cody R. Smith aboard.

Another leading contender is Dulce Dinero, who has been installed as the 8-5 morning-line favorite in the third trial, race four. The Oklahoma-bred gelding has already recorded two victories and has consistently competed at the highest level. He finished runner-up in the Oklahoma Paint & Appaloosa Juvenile and then third in the Grade 1 $231,400 Speedhorse Graham Paint & Appaloosa Futurity. His consistent performances have earned him $45,889.

Owned and bred by Shari Burger and Vickie McBee, Dulce Dinero is by Dulce Sin Tacha, out of the Gitter Dun Turnpike mare Wf Gitter Dun Chick. Trainer Jesus Ruben Ruiz will saddle the talented gelding from post eight, with Mario Delgado named to ride.

The Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Futurity Trials will offer an early showcase for the sport's rising stars as juveniles begin their quest for a place in the July 18 championship finals. With proven graded stakes performers and promising young talent spread across the four trial heats, Thursday's opening races should deliver fast times and competitive finishes, setting the stage for championship night at Fair Meadows.
