GRANTS PASS, OR–JULY 3, 2026–The Fourth of July racing program at Grants Pass features an eight-race afternoon card starting at 1:00 p.m., highlighted by the $95,000 Firecracker Futurity and the $14,000 Firecracker Futurity Consolation. Both races bring back the top qualifiers from the June 21 trial heats, as the region's promising juveniles return to compete over 300 yards.

The featured seventh race is the $95,000 Firecracker Futurity, with the 10 fastest qualifiers set to line up at approximately 3:48 p.m.

Miss Royal Hawk has been installed as the 3-1 morning-line favorite after an impressive three-race winning streak. The filly secured her place in the final by winning her trial by three-quarters of a length, earning the second-fastest qualifying time. Earlier this season, she captured the Pocatello Downs Spring Futurity and has already earned $20,794.

Owned and bred in Oregon by Ismael Villarreal, the daughter of The Cartel Hawk is out of the Royal Shake Em mare Miss Royal Rumble. Jose A. Rosales Gomez trains the filly, who will break from post seven with Julian Zavala aboard as she seeks her fourth consecutive victory.

B My Lucky Lady is the 4-1 second choice after posting the fastest qualifying time, despite being bumped from both sides leaving the gate in her career debut. The filly quickly recovered and finished strongly to win by one-half length, establishing herself as one of the leading contenders.

Owned by Alexis Baca, the daughter of Soy Especial is out of the Deal Me In Now mare Lsg Deal Me A Lady and was bred in Oregon by Juan M. Rodriguez. Jose Juan Baca trains the promising filly, who will start from post 10 with Ramiro J. Jimenez in the saddle.

On the card earlier, the fifth race features the $14,000 Firecracker Futurity Consolation at approximately 2:52 p.m., where the second 10 fastest qualifiers from the trials will have their opportunity to compete over 300 yards.

Valiant Lil Bit leads the field as the 3-1 morning-line favorite after posting the fastest qualifying time among the consolation entrants. Although still seeking her first career victory, the filly has shown consistent ability in three starts and appears well-positioned to break her maiden.

The daughter of Valiant Hero is out of the Jess Good Candy mare Lil Bit A Candy and was bred in Texas by Bob and Jerry Gaston. Racing for owner Donald Conway, she is trained by Hector Magallanes and will leave from post six with jockey Jake Samuels aboard.

The Firecracker Futurity and Firecracker Futurity Consolation inserve as a fitting centerpiece to the Fourth of July celebration at Grants Pass. With proven stakes winners, unbeaten prospects, and several improving juveniles in action, fans can expect an exciting afternoon as the next generation of Quarter Horse talent competes for holiday honors before the evening fireworks begin.
