VINTON, LA.–JUNE 29, 2026–The Louisiana Quarter Horse Breeders Association (LQHBA) sent out a reminder to owners and trainers that nominations for the 2026 Big Easy Futurity are due and must be postmarked on or before Thursday, July 2, 2026.

The race, to be contested over 350 yards for 2-year-olds, will offer $75,000 added with an estimated purse of $200,000. Trials are scheduled for Friday, August 7, with the finals set for Friday, August 28 at Delta Downs in Vinton, Louisiana.

The initial nomination fee is $500, due July 2. A late nomination payment of $800 will be accepted through July 27, bringing the total nomination cost to $1,300. Horses not previously nominated may be supplemented for $2,600 on or before July 27.

Horsemen are reminded that all final payments and supplemental nominations must be on account with the Horsemen's Bookkeeper prior to noon on the day before entry trials. All horses nominated to the race are subject to substance testing (hair testing) as outlined by the LQHBA.
