Foal In-Utero by Apollitical Jess, Out of $2.3 Million Producer Swingin Cartel, Set for Fastrack September Flash Sale

A foal in-utero (implant date 3/7/26) by Leading living sire Apollitical Jess and out of Swingin Cartel, dam of last Sunday’s winner of the 2026 All American Derby (G1) winner Effortless Favorite, is offered in the Fastrack September Flash Sale on Sunday, September 13.

The offering presents buyers with a rare opportunity to acquire the 1/2 sibling to one of the newest Grade 1 winners in Quarter Horse racing, backed by a female family responsible for generations of significant race horses.

Effortless Favorite accomplished his 2nd G1 win this past Sunday, September 6, defeating a stellar field of sophomores by ¾ of a length in the $1,079,992 All American Derby (G1) stopping the clock at :20.866 and earning a Speed Index of SI-103. The G1 victory improved his record to 10 wins from 15 career starts with current earnings of $1,094,823 and helped push Swingin Cartel’s total progeny earnings beyond $2.3 million.

A daughter of Leading Broodmare Sire Corona Cartel, Swingin Cartel has established herself as a significant producer and her stakes production record extends well beyond Effortless Favorite. Swingin Cartel is also the dam of Apollitical Scout SI-105 ($380,952), winner of the Junos Request Stakes (G2) and Oklahoma Bred Derby (RG3), and Flashin Dynamite SI-99 ($96,262), winner of the Prairie Meadows Derby; One Famous Swinger SI-97 ($70,896) 1st in the O.B. Cockrell Hdcp. and Swingit Like A Man SI-97 ($56,743) 2nd in the Mile High Futurity.

The family’s success has already carried into the next generation through Apollitical Scout, who has produced FDD Scout SI-101 ($657,381), runner-up in the All American Futurity (G1), and Tempting Scout SI-101 ($165,450) G2 placed and G1 finalist.

Swingin Cartel’s maternal family is equally accomplished in the production of significant runners. Her dam, Swingin Alive SI-84, is a daughter of Special Effort and she produced Swingin Val SI-115, winner of the Rainbow Futurity (G1) and Ruidoso Derby (G1) with earnings of $480,175. Swingin Alive also produced AQHA Dam of Distinction Swingin Otoole, whose offspring include Grade 1 winner Swingin Daddyo ($718,108) and earners of $1,521,315 herself.

The resulting cross gives buyers access to a pedigree built on both immediate Grade 1 success and sustained production across multiple generations.

Butch Wise of Solo Select Horses said the timing of the offering makes the opportunity especially significant following Effortless Favorite’s All American Derby (G1) victory. This is also Swingin Cartels only foal of 2027.

“This is a rare opportunity to purchase a half-sibling to an All American Derby G1 winner from an extremely prolific family of successful runners and the pedigree represents generations of proven stakes-producing genetics,” Wise said.
