Trials For Grade 1 PSBA Paint Classic On Tap Over Remington Weekend

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–APRIL 11, 2014–What do breeders and owners from Florida, Kentucky, Minnesota, New Mexico, New York and Pennsylvania all have in common? They choose to send their horses to Oklahoma for the Quarter Horse & Mixed Breed Meet at Remington Park. All in all, owners from a total of 24 states, Canada and Mexico are represented in this weekend’s races at Remington Park all vying for a piece of over $919,000 in available purse money.

In tonight’s (Friday) 9th race, watch for 2012 Remington Park Oklahoma-bred Futurity runner up, A Will And Away to make his second start this year for trainer Verle Bohner. The Irene Velasquez Oklahoma bred is a not only the high money earner of the field, but a highly decorated stakes horse with multiple graded stakes appearances in the finals of the 2012 Texas Classic Futurity, 2013 Remington Park Oklahoma-Bred Derby and the 2013 Heritage Place Derby.

Five colorful trials to the Grade 1 PSBA Paint Classic Futurity will be contested on Sunday as Remington Park continues Extreme Sunday’s with a Storm Safe shelter giveaway and miniature donkey chariot races. The much anticipated annual Extreme Racing featuring camels, ostriches, zebras and pigs will take place Sunday, April 27th.
