SELMA, TX—FEBRUARY 2, 2017—Retama Park will host 13 schooling races on Friday. Ten of those will be run at 250 yards for 2-year-old Quarter Horses foaled in 2015. First post is set for noon (CDT).

The first official races for American Quarter Horse 2-year-olds begin at racetracks around the country on March 1st. Louisiana Downs is the only acceptation, with trials for the Mardi Gras Futurity(RG2) approved by AQHA for February 25th.

Retama's schooling races on Friday will begin with race 3 and continue through race 13.

Additional schooling races at the track are scheduled for February 17, March 3 and March 17. Entries will close by 11 a.m. the preceding Thursday each week and the horsemen must furnish the track with copies of the front and back of all foal registration certificates. Please call the racing office for the latest health certificate requirements.
