Remington Park Sets Another Round of Schooling Races on Thursday

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—FEBRUARY 15, 2017—Remington Park will run the second set of schooling races for the week on Thursday. The Oklahoma City racetrack will follow today's (Wednesday) schooling event with nine additional races on Thursday. Eight of those are for two-year-old American Quarter Horses, Paints and Appaloosas.

First post will be 11:00 a.m. (CST) with each races contested over a 250 yard distance.

A few summer sale highlights making their debut on Thursday include:

  • Race 1: Dynasty Chick, a $22,000 Heritage Place Sale graduate, will start for owners Jose Vicente and Robles Silva. Trainer Luis Villafranco will saddle the FDD Dynasty filly out of Remington Park Futurity(G1) winner First Prize Leesa by Mr Jess Perry.

  • Race 2: Weetonas Lafawn, a Valiant Hero filly from the Mr Jess Perry mare First Prize Fancy will race for owner/trainer Dustin Cox. The filly is a half-sister to Remington Park Oklahoma-Bred Futurity(RG3) winner Im A Fancy Pyc and Speedhorse Futurity(G3) winner Fast N Fancy.

  • Race 2: Tres Of Elegants, an $18,500 Heritage Place Fall Mixed graduate, races for owner James Sills and trainer Eddie Willis. The Tres Seis filly out of Elegant Debut, by Corona Cartel, is a half-sister to Grade 2 Oklahoma Futurity finalist Swingin Debut. The second dams is the stakes winning/G1-placed First Down Dash mare Elegant Dasher.

  • Race 3: Dashing to The Hague, a $22,000 filly by world champion One Dashing Eagle, will start for owners Charles and Elizabeth Horton. Rodney Reed trains the Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate out of the stakes winning/stakes producing Holland Ease mare Going To Hague.

  • Race 5: Trainer Eddie Willis saddled Zoe Valiant, a $20,000 Ruidoso Select Sale graduate for owner Ron Shalz. The Valiant Hero filly is out of the West Texas Futurity(G1) winner Fast Prize Zoom who produced the 2016 West Texas Futurity(G2) winner Jess Prize Me.

Horsemen and women who cannot attend the schooling races may go to www.oqhra.com and watch the races under the "Racing-Training Races" tab. A replay of the race should be available to view within 3-5 minutes following each training race.

This should be available to users on their desktop, laptop or mobile applications. OQHRA officials said it may take a few minutes longer for the first race of the day to upload, but once the link has been established they will roll up after each race.

Training results will be posted on StallioneSearch.com and the OQHRA website as soon as they become available Wednesday afternoon.
