PHOENIX, AZ—APRIL 7, 2017—Graded stakes winner Eye N Capo and multiple stakes winner Dicecapades are among the 53 Oklahoma-bred sophomores entered in Sunday’s 400-yard Remington Park Derby (RG3) trials at Remington Park.

Eye N Capo is trained by Erika Huitron for owner Ruben Garcia Montemayor. A sorrel son of Capo de Capi and an $8,500 purchase at the 2015 Heritage Place Yearling Sale, the gelding has won all four of his outs and has banked $312,668, and his resume includes victories in last year’s 400-yard, $385,000 Dash For Cash Futurity (G1) at Lone Star Park, and 400-yard Evangeline Downs Futurity in Louisiana.

Eye N Capo drew post 8 and will be ridden by Damian Martinez in the last of six trials.

Dicecapades is a Prospect To The Top filly owned by Terry McLean of Claremore, Oklahoma. Trained by Gerry McLean, Dicecapades will be making her 3-year-old season debut off of a juvenile campaign during which she won four of seven starts, including two Oklahoma-bred stakes during the Remington Park meet, and banked $167,517.

Trainer Rick Robinson will send out Teller Baja for owner Juan A. Medina, who also bred the sorrel daughter of Teller Cartel. Teller Baja has won four of six starts, including last year’s 330-yard, $888,000 Remington Park Futurity (RG2), and she has earned $429,058.

The 6-5 morning-line choice in the second trial, Teller Baja drew post 6 and will be ridden by Agustin Silva.

The 10 fastest qualifiers from Sunday’s trials will meet in the April 22, $306,000 Remington Park Derby final.
