LOS ALAMITOS, CA—JULY 6, 2017—AJS Anna Smoke, Chazaq, and Racy High Roller, three major futurity winners in 2016, will be among the runners in action during Sunday’s eight-race program at Los Alamitos.

Racing for Robin MacPherson Living Trust, AJS Anna Smoke will head the trials to the Governor’s Cup Derby. A total of 24 sophomores will race in the 400-yard trials with the horses with the 10 fastest times returning for the Governor’s Cup final to be held on Saturday, July 29.

MacPherson's Kiddy Up Cowgirl and Paul Blanchard and Dutch Masters III's Katella Deli are among the top names in the opening trial of the night, while Ed Allred’s La Primera Del Ano Derby runner-up Tough To Figure lands in the third and final trial.

Meanwhile, Dutch Masters III's Chazaq, winner of the Grade 1 Ed Burke Million Futurity, will make his 2017 debut when he takes on Abigail Kawananakoa's Racy High Roller, winner of the PCQHRA Breeders Futurity, and three others in a $12,000 allowance in Sunday’s fifth race.
