AURORA, CO—JULY 14, 2017—A full field of 10 Colorado-bred 2-year-olds, headed by fastest qualifier Indomable Cartel, has been entered back in Saturday’s 330-yard, $74,680 Cherry Creek Futurity (R) at Arapahoe Park.
A homebred son of The Louisiana Cartel trained by Luz Chavira for owner Mariano Cornejo, Indomable Cartel broke his maiden with a 1 3/4-length victory in the first of four trials on June 30. The bay colt drew post 4 and will be ridden by Fernando Fonseca-Soto.

Lucille Rowe Derby
Hugo Sierra Barron’s Shes My Foose, a homebred bay daughter of champion Foose, drew the rail post for Saturday’s 350-yard, $59,580 Lucille Rowe Derby (R) for Colorado-bred 3-year-olds.
The fastest qualifier and 5-2 morning-line favorite, Shes My Foose is coming off of a head victory in the first of three trials on June 30. The filly has won two of six starts and has earned $8,445.
Shes My Foose will be ridden by Pedro Gonzales.
