AURORA, CO—JUNE 12, 2019—Gilberto Gutierrez’s TF Kates TLC, a bay daughter of The Louisiana Cartel and the fastest qualifier, is one of 10 2-year-olds entered back in Saturday’s 330-yard, $90,000 Rocky Mountain Futurity at Arapahoe Park.

An $8,000 purchase at last year’s Heritage Place Yearling Sale in Oklahoma City, TF Kates TLC made her local debut with a 1 3/4-length victory in the last of three Rocky Mountain Futurity trials. The filly has earned $15,429 from three outs, and she was a finalist in the March 23, $396,650 Oklahoma Futurity (G2) at Remington Park.

TF Kates TLC drew post 5 and will be ridden by Carlos Guillen Chacon.

David J. Sanchez’s Tyson Gay heads a field of 10 3-year-olds entered back in Saturday’s 350-yard, $75,000 Rocky Mountain Derby.

A gelded son of champion Foose trained by Deborah Boyd, Tyson Gay has earned $73,629 from six starts, and his four wins include a three-quarter length victory in last year’s 400-yard Mile High Futurity at Arapahoe Park. Tyson Gay drew the rail post and will be ridden by Eddie Aceves.

Fastest qualifier Jess Un Sies Mas made his season debut with a half-length victory in the second of five trials on May 31. A finalist in last year’s Cherry Creek Futurity (R) for Colorado-breds, the homebred Apollitical Jess gelding drew post 5 and will be ridden by Jose P. Lopez for owner Hugo Barron-Sierra and trainer Jose Manuel Barron.

Seven Colorado-bred sprinters have been entered in Saturday’s 350-yard, $15,000 Dolls Prodigy Stakes (R). Defending champion Perkin Desire, a 5-year-old daughter of Desirio owned and trained by Roberto Gomez, drew the rail post and will be ridden by Jhaciel Soto. Perkin Desire won two stakes during the 2018 Arapahoe Park meet, including the Dolls Prodigy Stakes. The mare will be making her official season debut on Saturday.
