GRANTS PASS, OR—JULY 2, 2019—Senor Frogs, co-fastest qualifier for the July 4th $37,950 Firecracker Futurity at Grants Pass, has been installed as the 8-5 morning-line favorite.

Racing for owner-trainer Freddy Ibarra, Senor Frogs dead-heated with John Carter Cash (5-2) in the June 16th trials to become the co-fastest qualifier for the 350 yard futurity after a two-length trial victory.

Jockey Jaime Lopez has been assigned to ride the gelded son of second-crop sire Coronado Cartel. Bred in Oregon by Michael and Shannon McKay, Senor Frogs has compiled a (3) 2-0-0 record with his only loss coming in the Pot O'Gold Futurity final at Sun Downs in May. He is out of the Mr Eye Opener mare Nellie Soprano.

Travis Boersma and Emilio Guerrero's Approval Given has been set at 2-1 in the morning-line. Also trained by Guerrero, the California-bred son of Kiddy Up was the 4th fastest qualifier after a 2 Ύ length trial win June 16.

Edward C. Allred by Approval Given from the Check Him Out mare Just Checking. The $8,500 Los Alamitos Equine Sale graduate will be ridden by jockey Jose Guerrero from post-position #1.

Co-fastest qualifier and Pot O'Gold Futurity winner John Carter Cash (5-2) will be ridden by regular rider Robert Burney. Jose Rosles Gomez conditions the son of Carters Cartel for owner Juan Rodriguez.

Bred in Oregon by Ronald Raley, the bay colt will put his perfect 3-for-3 record on the line in Thursday's futurity. He is out of the Dash Ta Fame mare One Fast Trick.
