Stakes winner Double Cruise will head a full field in Friday’s 350-yard, $24,835 Alberta Stallion Derby at Century Mile Racetrack.

EDMONTON, ALBERTA, CANADA—AUGUST 3, 2020—Ten 3-year-olds, headed by stakes winner Double Cruise, are entered in Friday’s 350-yard, $24,835 Alberta Stallion Derby at Century Mile Racetrack.

Owned and trained by Tom Kenway, Double Cruise will be making his second official start of the season. The homebred son of the Separatist stallion Bd Cruiser earned $24,592 from five races during his 2-year-old campaign, and his two wins included the 300-yard, $40,000 Alberta Stallion Futurity.

Double Cruise drew post 7 and will be ridden by Martin Ortiz.

Also on Friday, fastest qualifier Jagnestimber heads a field of 10 2-year-olds entered back in the 300-yard, $42,462 Alberta Stallion Futurity. A homebred daughter of First Timber owned and trained by Joe Halerewich, Jagnestimber made her debut with a half-length victory in the second of two trials on July 24. The filly drew the rail post and will be ridden by Dwight Lewis.
